Wedding Groups

Wedding groups, destination weddings and weddings at sea

Whether you're getting married on board, in a port of call or at a hotel back home, guests need somewhere to stay and a simple way to book. We reserve cabins or rooms for your guests and help with the parts of the celebration that happen as a group.

What gets in the way

The hard parts, handled

Guests book on their own schedule

Some book the day invitations go out, others wait until the last week. The block needs a cut-off date that works for both.

Ceremony rules vary by cruise line

Where and when you can marry on board, and who can officiate, depends on the line, the ship and where it's sailing.

The couple shouldn't be the travel desk

Answering every guest's cabin and payment question isn't how anyone wants to spend the months before a wedding.

How we help

Built for wedding groups

  • Cabin blocks for wedding cruises, so guests sail with you
  • We check the line's on-board and in-port ceremony options for your sailing
  • Hotel room blocks near the venue for weddings on land
  • A guest booking page so the couple isn't fielding every question
  • Private events on board, like a welcome party or rehearsal dinner, where the ship offers them

Planning timeline

When to do what

  1. 12 to 18 months out

Choose between a wedding at sea, a port-of-call ceremony or a wedding on land with a hotel block.

  2. 10 to 12 months out

Set up the cabin block or courtesy room block and confirm ceremony options for the date.

  3. With the invitations

Share the booking link or group code and the cut-off date for the group rate.

  4. 2 weeks before cut-off

Send one reminder to guests who haven't booked.

What to know

Weddings at sea and in port

Many cruise lines offer ceremonies on board, while docked or at sea, and some offer weddings in ports of call on a beach or in a chapel. Who can officiate, where the ceremony can happen and which paperwork you need depend on the line, the ship and the itinerary, so we check those for your sailing before you set the date.

Guests book their own space

On a wedding cruise, guests book cabins in the group block and pay for their own, with payment plans available. On land, a courtesy room block near the venue lets guests reserve at the group rate without the couple owing anything for unbooked rooms.

Events around the wedding

A welcome party, rehearsal dinner or farewell brunch can often be arranged on board or at the hotel. Bachelor and bachelorette trips before the wedding can be planned through us too.

Questions

Common questions

Can we get married on a cruise ship?

Many cruise lines offer ceremonies on board, either while docked or at sea, and some offer weddings in ports of call. Options and requirements vary by line, ship and itinerary, so we check them for your sailing.

Do guests pay for their own cabins?

Usually, yes. Each guest books and pays through the group, and the couple can choose to cover anything they like.

Can you set up a hotel block for a wedding on land?

Yes. We find hotels near your venue and set up a block with a booking link for guests.
